Welcome

Hello! My name is Michele. I spent over 15 years as an adult critical care RN before I found my true passion - breastfeeding. 

I breastfed my daughter for several years and overcame many obstacles and challenges. We have been through every stage of breastfeeding together - from getting started, to going back to work, teething, nursing a toddler and weaning. As challenges arose along our journey, I flooded my newsfeed with breastfeeding related pages and groups and researched all the latest evidence-based information, seeking out the answers to my questions that no one around me seemed to be able to answer. 

Realizing that real help for breastfeeding families was scarce, I decided to seek out training to become a lactation consultant in order to provide the help to families that I really needed. For 4 years, it was  a privilege and honor to serve the Verde Valley in Northern Arizona as an accredited breastfeeding counselor and certified breastfeeding specialist. I hope to  continue to serve the community in the northwest Phoenix area now as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, the highest level of lactation care available. 

Although breastfeeding is natural, it is a learned skill and may not always come easy at first. It is completely normal to have bumps in the road, but without the right kind of help, those speed bumps can quickly become huge hurdles or complete roadblocks. Most issues DO have solutions and I hope to help you find those solutions together to meet your own unique breastfeeding goals.
